Culminating Blog Reflection:
Throughout the course of my Capstone project I used various skills to help guide me through the process. I used critical throughout the research portion to absorb the information the best I could in order to maintain it for as long as possible. In addition to using critical thinking I used my communication skills. The information I was learning was pretty difficult to grasp so I frequently asked my mentor to help clarify information. The last two skills I incorporated with my project were collaboration and creativity. My mentor and I had discussions about how we would treat and help patients recover from their injuries.
After completing the project I noticed that I was more comfortable in the work place. I became a better communicator and was able to ask questions without hesitation. I found that I was able to take directions easily as well as learn from constructive criticism. I definitely gained more knowledge about this profession as well as how to run your own business which was rewarding because this is a profession I'm interested in pursuing. Lastly, I finished my Capstone project with more increase than I began with which was satisfying.
One of the challenges I faced was balancing my time efficiently between soccer, school, work and my project. Fortunately, I was able to over come this challenge by taking the time to make a schedule which allowed me to succeed in all four aspects. Another challenge I experienced was absorbing the information. Since this was something I am interested in pursuing I wanted to gain more knowledge and maintain it. This was difficulty since a lot of the information is difficult already. Luckily, my mentor clarified a lot of my misunderstandings which helped.
