The Second Job: April 22, 2014

I had an extremely busy schedule and was not able to meet with my mentor as frequently as I would have hoped for; however,  when we were able to meet I felt our sessions were still beneficial On this particular meeting, we talked about how he ran his business. He told me it is important to stay engaged with his patients. His way of stay engaged with them is with christmas cards. As a result, I would help him prepare the christmas cards so once the time came to send them out they would already be ready. So while there were no patients to be looked at I would continue to sort and organize the christ as cards. My mentor and I also talked about how it was important to stay organized, especially when having to deal with that many patients. My mentor organizes his patients files by color and each color represents a different label or group. I am learning that it's vital to reach out and stay in contact with your patients as well as stay organized and up to date.
